- Michele has been in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1996. Her educational background is Associates in Early Childhood Education, BA in Psychology, M.Ed in Early Childhood Educational Administration and course work completed for her Ed.D in Higher Education and Adult Learning Theory with the dissertation still being written. She began as a preschool and Head Start lead teacher, and then moved on to be a director of a child care center. She has been employed at Children?s Home + Aid, Child Care Resource + Referral since 2007 with a range of positions from Training and Technical Assistance Advisor, Quality Rating System Specialist and Quality Specialist. Topics that she has trained on has been on lesson planning, intentional interactions, digging deeper into the ERS, observing and assessing, Teaching Strategies Gold. Illinois Trainers Network trainings are An Introduction to An Environment Rating Scale, Creative Curriculum for Preschool and ECE Level 1 Credential. In addition, she is employed as an Adjunct Professor at Southeastern Illinois College. She has taught associates level course work in Health, Safety and Nutrition, Math and Science for Young Children, Play in the Learning Environment, Intro to Early Childhood Development and Administration of an Early Education Program.
