Environmental health is the field that studies how environmental factor impact human health. These factors include chemicals in our health, water, food, consumer products in our workplace. In the past environmental health focused primarily on workplace exposures and on adults. This training is to help focus on another vulnerable population: children. This includes child cares and schools as well as homes. The topics include reducing exposure to toxic chemicals in mercury, radon, furniture & carpets, and arsenic.
