- As a trainer with the Illinois Trainers Network since 2006, I have greatly enjoyed my experiences as a facilitator of child care topics. My belief is that we all have experiences gained that can be shared with others. I like to integrate my own personal experiences of being a mother to four young children, running a home daycare, as well as former experiences of teaching in a child care center and preschool classroom. I have learned that adults learn differently from children, and in addition, child care workers are used to being hands-on during the day. I try to respect this, giving opportunities for group sharing and networking throughout the trainings.
