- Marilynn J. Ward (MJ) currently collaborates with medical physicians at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, supporting the academic needs of children, birth through five, by promoting early literacy efforts with the national Reach Out and Read Program located at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding. In 2003, she received high commendation from Georgia's Governor Perdue for providing quality early education and care service for young children. During the early 1990's, she worked with a team headed by the president's office of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia supporting the recruitment and retention efforts of underrepresented students, which led to national recognition.
