Personal Statement:
I've spent the last 26 years of my Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) career learning everything there is to know about the childcare industry - from start-ups and management to licensing and monitoring. I've worn every hat there is to wear in licensed centers. My work experience as a Daycare Licensing Representative, Public Service Administration, and Northern Region Licensing Administrator for the ILDCFS, refined my expertise and knowledge in licensing, regulating, and monitoring early childhood programs across the state of Illinois. It's my desire to mentor and coach childcare professionals seeking support and encouragement in all aspects of the ECEC industry. I know the process of starting, licensing, and operating a quality childcare center is difficult. I can hold a provider's hand through the entire process - planning, application, permit, and opening day as a mentor and coach.
