Personal Statement:
Carole Peterson Stephens has been teaching Early Childhood music and movement classes since 1989. She turned her love of singing and children into Macaroni Soup! LLC, and began sharing developmentally appropriate songs, dances and movement games with teachers and childcare professionals soon after. ?Miss Carole? presents concerts and workshops all over the United States and abroad. Her topics include ?Active Music for Toddlers, Preschoolers and Kindergarteners?, ?The Connection Between Active Music and Early Literacy?, and ?Developmentally Appropriate Music? for children and teachers of ALL abilities. Carole?s award-winning cds are beloved by teachers because the songs are easily learned and sung, fun, and get children up ? moving and singing. Teachers find Miss Carole?s music highly use-able and easy to take back to the classroom after a workshop and use immediately. She uses visuals and props that are inexpensive and simple. Carole?s infectious enthusiasm makes every fun and informative, as she provides some scientific research and rationale for why music is a necessity for a young child?s brain and body growth. ? Carole blogs on the 16th of each month on the Pre-K and K Sharing blog. ? Carole provides directions on how to use her songs on the ?Song of the Month? page on her website: macaronisoup.com. ? Carole Stephens has a BS in Speech from Northwestern University. ? Carole presents Conference Keynotes and workshops, Family Concerts and Artist-in-Residence programs for Early Childhood through Grade 2. For a full resume go to macaronisoup.com.
