This workshop will discuss the signs, symptoms, causes, prevention and behaviors that increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Symdrome (SIDS). Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), Sudden Unexplained Infant Death (SUID) and Safe Sleep habits. The Department of Children and FAmily Services (DCFS) requires new applicants and assistants caring for newborns and infants to complete this training prior to licensure and every 3 years therafter for the life of the license.
